PAWS to PLAY! Rules & Regulations

To ensure the safety and health of all animals and staff at PAWS to PLAY! Doggy Day Care, Boarding, & Training, we require all clients to comply with the following Rules and Regulations:

DOGS: All dogs must be spayed or neutered (unless they are under 8 months of age).

SHOTS: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Parents must submit written verification that their dogs have current DHLPP, Rabies and Kennel Cough vaccinations. It is your responsibility to provide on-going verification of current vaccinations. You will be charged a "special needs fee" if it is necessary for our staff to secure verification.

PUPPIES: Puppies are allowed as long as the puppy meets the general PAWS TO PLAY! criteria. Puppies will be kept separate from the other day care population as much as possible. Puppies may begin PAWS TO PLAY! before they receive their Rabies vaccine and before they are spayed/neutered, as long as both will be taken care of by 8 months of age.

HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Parents will need to certify that their dogs are in good health and have been free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs who have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted. If, at any time during care, a dog is noticed to have fleas or ticks, treatment will be applied and charged to the parent at the minimum rate of $30.00. All dogs will be examined for signs of fleas and ticks at check in and will not be admitted to day care if fleas or signs of fleas or ticks are noticed. This "spot check" is not a foolproof process, therefore, PAWS TO PLAY! highly recommends a flea and parasite preventative program, along with flea\tick collars. Product suggestions: Sentinel, Top Spot, Front Line.

COLLARS and LEASHES: Collars with nametags are required. All dogs must be brought in on leash.

FOOD: All food brought to PAWS TO PLAY! will be stored in airtight/rodent proof containers. Plastic baggies or opened dog food bags are acceptable but must be labeled with dogs first and last name. Food for Pajama Party Sleepovers (boarding) should be divided into separate meals or the measurement amount (by cup only) should be provided. This is to ensure proper amounts/meal.

BEHAVIOR: All dogs must pass the PAWS TO PLAY! Proprietary Behavior Assessment for enrollment in our program. All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Parents will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and that their safety and health is our main priority. Keep in mind, although it is supervised play, your dog still might acquire an occasional nip or scratch.

ENROLLMENT: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved enrollment form on file and should commit to a minimum of two days per month program participation. If this commitment is not met, your dog may be required to under-go a re-assessment and fees may apply. If your dog has been out of day care for three months or more, re-assessment is required and fees will be applied. ALL PAWS TO PLAY! FORMS MUST BE SIGNED BY PARENT BEFORE ENROLLMENT.

FEES: Daycare and boarding fees are payable in advance. Cash, check or MasterCard/Visa are accepted. Pre-paid packages are non-refundable. Monthly packages expire 30 days after commencement. Our program is flexible enough to accommodate reasonable special needs requests, however, appropriate fees may be applied.

HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 11:00 am and 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Drop off and pick up any time during these hours. Weekend and holidays may vary with drop off and pick up at specified times only. PAWS TO PLAY! closes promptly at 7:00 p.m. M-F. Late charges of $15.00 will be applied to first 15 minutes. After that first 15 minutes period, dogs will be boarded for the night with boarding fee charged and may be picked up the following morning. Suggestion: Call before 6:00 p.m. to avoid $15.00 charge if you want/need to board your dog for the night.

RESERVATIONS: Required. Cancellations not made by 5:00 p.m. one business day prior to the scheduled day care day will be charged full fees and invoiced to the parent. Cancellations not made by 5:00 p.m. one business day prior to the scheduled sleepover will be charged half the scheduled sleepover amount (excluding holidays where the full amount will be charged).

PAWS to PLAY! Client Agreement

For myself, my heirs and any assigns, I hereby release PAWS to PLAY!, Diamondback Dogs LLC, its agents, officers, subcontractors, employees, animal parents, customers and potential customers of PAWS TO PLAY! from any and all liabilities for injuries to myself, my dog, or any other property of mine, which arise in any way out of services and/or products, provided by or as a consequence of my association with PAWS TO PLAY! . I acknowledge and understand that every dog reacts differently and that animals, by nature are unpredictable. Dogs and animals may, without warning, bite or cause injury to humans and other dogs. I acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in participating in dog day care, including but not limited to dogfights, dog bites to humans or other dogs and/or the transmission of disease. In the case of emergency or for the use of the Pick-Up and Drop-Off services, I recognize the risks of injury that accompany said transport and acknowledge that this RELEASE is being relied upon by PAWS TO PLAY! to permit transport of my pet to and from PAWS TO PLAY! or any other necessary location. Furthermore, I accept any and all conditions, rules and regulations promulgated by PAWS TO PLAY! associated with the activities, use of the facilities and transport, and hereby agree to comply with them.

Read and check each box below:

_ Dogs not familiar with PAWS TO PLAY! may experience separation anxiety when apart from their human companions.
_ Dogs not regularly exposed to the level of activity at PAWS TO PLAY! may feel the discomfort of sore muscles, sore joints and fatigue.
_ Dogs not regularly exposed to outside activity or play on hard surfaces may experience sore paws, blisters, bruises or
abrasions on the feet (Raw Paw).
_ Dogs not regularly socialized do not necessarily know how to behave politely with other dogs. These dogs are at higher risk of incidents including, but not limited to, bites, fights, fear aggression, object guarding, behavior problems and/or acting out.
_ Dogs at play during the regular day care do get dirty. Dogs with longer hair can get matted from the level of activity at day care. Baths and brush outs can be requested and scheduled.
_ Excessively long toenails may cause injury. You will be notified if your dog’s nails are too long. If, at your next visit, the nails have not been trimmed, PAWS TO PLAY! will have them trimmed at parent’s expense.
_ I understand the extra risks my puppy has of contracting disease or illness by entering the day care program without being fully vaccinated.
_ Water is available at all times; however, your dog may still be thirsty after day care. Be aware of their water intake as excessive amounts may cause an upset stomach or other problems.
_ Dramatic changes in food and/or food quality may cause upset stomachs, diarrhea, and/or colitis.
_ Any behavior deemed dangerous or inappropriate by PAWS TO PLAY! may result in dismissal from the program.
_ I agree to pay for all services due at the time they are rendered. I understand any unpaid fees by me will be sent to collections and I will be responsible for all collections and legal fees incurred by such actions taken.

_ I have read and understand the PAWS TO PLAY! "Rules and Regulations."
_ I understand PAWS TO PLAY! staff give all pets involved in any type of incident a cursory examination, however, PAWS TO PLAY! is not liable for the location, treatment or diagnosis of any injuries incurred on our premises. It is recommended you check your dog further or seek treatment for your pet by a licensed veterinarian at your discretion and cost. I, grant PAWS TO PLAY! and/or its selected agents full power of decision concerning the care and well being of our dog(s). Should any medical emergency arise, it is agreed that PAWS TO PLAY! or its selected agents can and will make any needed decision concerning medical treatment and choice of care giver up to $ 50.00.
