Paws To Play is Phoenix area's premier doggie daycare, training, grooming and boarding facility. Located in Scottsdale, we offer a complete range of services to meet all your dog's needs. We feature a large, half acre, supervised, outdoor play area, as well as climate-controlled indoor play areas. We can make sure your dog has a happy day, takes a bath and is groomed, is taught proper manners with other friendly dogs, and even arrange to have your dog professionally trained. We are a true, full service, doggie daycare. You are welcome to stop by anytime to inspect our facility and interview our staff.

 

Unlike other so-called "doggie daycare" providers, your dog ISN'T isolated in a kennel most of the day. Your dog will be in supervised play groups, and rotated through a variety of indoor and outdoor play areas, featuring wading pools and playground equipment, throughout the day. Dogs need room to run, play, establish healthy pack behaviors, and to naturally eliminate. With Paws to Play, your dog will come home calmer, happier, friendlier, and  easier to manage. Plus, you can have the peace of mind knowing your dog is being well cared for, and you can sign up to have your dog trained by professionals.

America's Cutest Puppy TV Show: One of our students won this title on a nationally televised show. Sam Basso, our Head Trainer, prepared him for his TV debut. Bunker The Dog, a male bull terrier, appeared in national print media and in major chain bookstores, including being featured on the cover of Fido Friendly magazine.

Canine Behavioral Center

Sam Basso is Head Dog Trainer and Behaviorist for Paws To Play's Canine Behavioral Center located in Scottsdale, AZ. Our full service dog training and behavior modification program features Sam The Dog Trainer, a nationally recognized dog trainer, behavior expert and speaker. He is known for his kind, intelligent, scientific and humane training methods. Lessons are geared towards practical obedience and behavioral modification for companion dogs. Sam Basso's training philosophy is built on a combination of common sense training, scientific principles, animal welfare ideals, and Sam Basso's unique personal touch. Sam Basso is unique in that his approach to dog training and animal welfare has such a broad appeal. He has appeared on his own TV show, has been a guest radio expert, gives seminars, publishes his own blog, and is active in promoting fair laws for dogs and dog owners.

 

Services:

Board & Train: We will train your dog while you are out of town, and can provide specialized training programs for difficult behavioral problems.

Private Lessons: Professional Dog Training Classes at your home: 8 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday; weekend classes also available. We are Phoenix dog training experts. We will treat your dog with kindness and TLC! And you will receive a tremendous amount of training knowledge and experience.

Group Classes: Our weekly group classes are an outstanding way for training you and your dog. They are fun, informative... and they are effective! These are great preparation for getting your dog to obey in very busy public settings. Group Classes Are Held In Scottsdale

Behavior Modification: biting, aggression, anxiety, barking, begging, chewing, pulling, dominance, fighting, fear biting, fearfulness, jumping, mounting, potty/ toilet training, separation anxiety, shyness, etc.; Biting and aggression are serious problems. We are qualified to evaluate your dog's behavior and give you recommendations.

Problem Dog Class: This class is for dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs and/or people.

Need A Dog Whisperer? We offer "group therapy" for your dog, integrating your dog into our pack of dogs, supervised by our professional staff, and guided by our Head Trainer.
